August 24, 1952 — nr. Hermanas, NM — USAF Pilot Sees Two Silver Balls / Fournet Motions Study Case

August 24, 1952 — nr. Hermanas, NM
10:15 a.m. USAF Col. Gerald W. Johnson is flying an F-84G when he sees two silver balls in the vicinity of Hermanas (a ghost town), New Mexico. They seem to be 6 feet in diameter and 2 miles away. One seems to change into a long, gray object as it is turning to the right. After 3 minutes they disappear, then reappear 7 minutes later, by which time the F-84 is over El Paso, Texas. One after the other, the objects climb straight up 2,000–3,000 feet. [Eberhart] This case is #32 on the Al Chop clearance list.
