September 25, 1965 — Rodeo, N.M.
Around 10:00 p.m. Dr. George Walton and his wife, driving north on US Highway 80 near Rodeo, New Mexico, see two round white objects side by side. The objects first appear near the base of a mountain, moving westward on an intersecting course with their car. They look about the size of a dime held at arm’s length. As the couple speeds along, the lights continue to approach, and when they come close, they brilliantly light up the interior of the car. After about three minutes, the lights drift directly over them, illuminating the immediate region. After about a minute, the lights fall back and separate, one moving northeast and the other southeast. No sound is heard, even with the car windows open.
