This video is one of the three official UAP videos released by the Navy. Fighter pilots from the USS Roosevelt captured the video in January 2015. According to one of the pilots, they had many UAP contacts from the summer of 2014 until March 2015 during operations on the East Coast. They then headed to the Middle East, and the encounters tapered off. Very little information has been shared about the video.
This one is the most controversial of the three UFO videos first released by the Navy. Some researchers claim that the movement of the object, particularly the apparent rotation, is anomalous. They claim any known object would lose lift if it rotated in that manner.
Debunkers disagree. MetaBunk’s Mick West demonstrated on a PBS special that the camera’s rotation likely caused the glare to rotate. He also demonstrated how this effect can be replicated with a common smartphone.
To find more evidence of camera movement, I created this GIF covering the objects so as not to distract from what else is going on in the video. There does appear to be camera movement supporting Mick’s theory.
One aspect of the video that has not been explained is one of the pilots saying there was a whole fleet of them on the ASA. I have seen some debate, but am not sure what the ASA may be referencing. If you know more, please fill us in. Thanks.
